Who is responsible

What data is collected
This site has no accounts, comment forms or newsletter sign-up. The only personal data processed during an ordinary visit is the technical information that web servers record automatically in log files:
- your IP address;
- browser type and version, and operating system;
- the pages you request and the referring page, if any;
- the date and time of each request.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It only uses what is strictly necessary to deliver the pages, if anything. Third-party sites you reach through outbound links or buttons have their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control.
Third-party services
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the font files. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that processing.
Why the data is used
Server log data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, detect misuse and fix technical problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website. Emails are used only to reply to you and handle your request.
How long it is kept
Server logs are kept for a limited period, normally no longer than needed for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted or anonymised. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law such as the GDPR gives you the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data erased;
- object to or ask us to restrict processing.

This site is a general gardening resource and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
